Very friendly service from a mom-and-pop-owned Korean barbecue restaurant. Ban chan what’s good, subtle flavors without being overly sweet. Dolsot bibimbap was very good. Seafood pancake was thick and crisp, and all of the barbecue meat was flavored just right, with just the right amount of seasoning to make it very flavorful, once again without being too sweet.

The food was absolutely delicious, great Korean BBQ! But what really made our visit special was the lady who served us. She was incredibly kind and attentive the whole time. We came in with our two-year-old son, and she went out of her way to offer him a small cake as a little gift, such a sweet, thoughtful gesture. That kind of genuine hospitality is hard to find and made our meal so much more memorable. Highly recommend, both for the food and for her wonderful service!

Came here for the first time and honestly wasn’t expecting much, but Ms. Sun completely blew us away. From the second we sat down she was so warm and welcoming — the kind of person that just makes you feel comfortable right away. She helped us figure out what to order, kept our grill going perfectly, and checked on us without ever being annoying about it. Just really genuine, attentive service the whole night. You could tell she actually cared about our experience and wasn’t just going through the motions. The food was great, but Ms. Sun is the real reason we’re coming back. That kind of hospitality is hard to find. 92 Town is lucky to have her.

If you want THE BEST Korean bbq restaurant in the Chicago/Chicagoland area, you have to go to 92 Town Korean BBQ. My favorites are Bulgogi, Japchae, and Mama Song’s Kimchi. You can really taste how fresh it is because they make everything in house including the marinades, sauces, and the banchan. Their meat quality is top tier and they serve prime cuts. The true test of Korean restaurant is their side dishes and you can tell they make them in small batches fresh everyday. The owner and the staff are super nice and funny. My family and my boyfriend have been coming here for over a decade. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful time at 92 Town! Do not let the cozy atmosphere fool you, this is certainly an upscale establishment and a hidden gem. Compared to AYCE KBBQ like Mr. Kimchi or A La Carte places like Iron Age, 92 Town offers much higher quality cuts of meat/more flavorful dishes. Being a smaller place there's a lot more table side care and assistance with the prep work, if you like a little bit of a more hands on style table side service. However despite their smaller size, they've managed to have a much more expansive menu compared to the competition. They had surprise deep cuts like angler fish (Agui-Jjim) and Squid Dolsot, in addition to more standard cuts of beef and seafood offerings (the grilled mackerel is top notch as well). You can definitely taste eomma's love in the bachan. Try the seafood pancake for sure!!! This isn't the cheapest place in the world, but you CERTAINLY get what you pay for. 100% coming back ASAP. Would also make an excellent date night spot!
